Korea in Bloom: Spring Flowers and Food Tour 2025
Discover Seoul, Busan, Jinhae, Gyeongju, Habcheon, Jeonju, and more!
Explore exquisite cherry blossoms in South Korea!
Phenomenal food and precious culture come together with South Korea’s most beautiful time of the year
Always wanted to visit South Korea? Do you love moderate spring temperatures and brilliant cherry blossoms? Our brand-new Korea in Bloom Tour is here to bring you into the heart of one of South Korea’s most stunning seasons! Food, flowers, and astonishing cultural assets combine to create an incredible 10-day experience you won’t soon forget.
Crafted by our own local experts, this tour is filled with picture-perfect cherry blossom viewing opportunities, from very famous areas like the Jinhae Naval Port Cherry Blossom festival, held annually from 1952, to spots usually only visited by local residents, like “Moonhill” (see a long line of cherry blossom trees from above) and Yongdusan Park.
In addition, you’ll have the chance to try hands-on activities like a personal stamp-making activity (similar to hanko in Japan) and a simplified tea ceremony plus tasting experience. You can even ride the “Crystal Cruise” ropeway in Busan, a gondola car with a transparent floor for spectacular views of the city!
And don’t worry, we didn’t forget about shopping! You’ll wander through Busan’s Jalgachi Seafood Market plus the city’s Gukje traditional market, peruse local wares at the Jeonju Southern Market, and also have plenty of time to browse a huge variety of goods at Seoul’s Namdaemun Market, the country’s largest street market dating from the year 1414!
A special highlight of this tour is a visit to the mountain sanctuary of Hapcheon Haeinsa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the holder of Korea’s sacred Tripitaka Koreana Buddhist scriptures. These scriptures were carved into over 81,000 separate woodblocks during the 13th century and were created to implore the Buddhas for divine assistance against the Mongol invasions of Korea. They are the oldest intact Korean Buddhist scriptures and are one of only three woodblock collections in the world to be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Aside from their spiritual value, they are also aesthetically remarkable, with each block’s wood undergoing years of preservation techniques before being completed. Made of birch wood, every block spent three years submerged in sea water before being boiled and dried for another three years. After being carved, each block was surfaced with lacquer to help repel insects, and then finally bordered with metal to hold their shape. A truly impressive endeavor that you’ll be able to witness for yourself, centuries later!
Ready to discover your Korea? So much more awaits, from superb regional cuisine to riding the KTX express train (Korea’s bullet train) to taking in Seoul’s city lights during an evening boat cruise on the Han River.
