Q: What will the weather be like?

A: September in Hokkaido offers crisp, comfortable early-autumn weather—ideal for sightseeing, farm experiences, and outdoor activities. Daytime temperatures typically range from 15–22°C (59–72°F), with cooler mornings and evenings, especially in rural and mountainous areas such as Furano, Biei, Lake Akan, and Mt. Asahidake, where temperatures can dip to 10–18°C (50–64°F).
Cities like Sapporo and Chitose are slightly warmer and pleasantly mild, averaging 18–23°C (64–73°F). This time of year brings lower humidity than summer, clear skies, and the first hints of autumn foliage.
